Led by freshman NCAA regional runner-up Megan McCandless (Livermore, Calif.), the No. 2 ranked MIT women s cross country team advanced to the NCAA Division III National Championship with a three-point victory over No. 5 ranked Williams College. The Engineers finished with 68 points as the team placed four runners in the top 20 overall finishers. The regional title is the fourth in program history and first since 2014.
